If you can't stand behind our troops;
please feel free to stand in front of them.
"The ocean was freedom. Standing at its edge and gazing far out into
the horizon, eastwards, she felt a deep, yearning ache that rose out of
some unknown kernel within her, that reached out, far far out, to that
distant horizon, to the unseen shores that lay beyond, and further,
to the endlessness of the sky, to the endlessness of time."
~Sharon Maas, Of Marriageable Age
"Stand Tall in Your Beliefs and Ye Shall Fly on the Wings of Dragons"
"Accept the gift. Don't be afraid to call yourself Witch"
~Susan Sheppard
"Blue Moon...
You saw me standing alone.
Without a dream in my heart...
Without a love of my own."

Virgo New Moon:
What's On Your Virgo List?
by Dana Gerhardt
Relaxed and powerful is the less publicized Virgo, the ancient mystery Virgo, the Virgin Virgo, harrassed by no one, pure and unafraid. Known as Diana to the Romans, Brigid to the Celts, Artemis to the Greeks, she's both hard-working and delightfully free. She's tuned into elemental forces, knows the secrets of roots and herbs, and in utter relaxation, follows the rhythms of earth and moon. This is the wild and joyful Virgo. Her spirit is available at this New Moon too. So you have a choice: Pick a corner of your world and clean it up-or relax into the perfect dance of what you've already done. Compose the Virgo list that's most useful to you now-the half-year's triumphs or where you want to improve....

Virgo New Moon:
System Restore
by Simone Butler
My CD burning program froze up on me last week, just as I was trying to get an overdue reading out to a client. Staving off panic, I called Dell's tech support. A nice Indian woman with a lilting accent guided me through a process called "system restore." I was amazed to learn that it was possible to reset my computer to the day before the program went awry. Suddenly, it was as if the glitch had never happened. If only I could do the same for myself! Reset my body, for instance, to the day before that overzealous Rolfer dug his elbow into my shoulder blade 27 years ago and left me in constant pain. As it turns out, this idea may not be so far-fetched....

Ask the Oracle
by Julia Bondi
I am an astrologer from near Denver with a budding practice. I've given a few readings and look forward to giving more. I have to say that I very much admire your write-ups in this column. How did you learn to approach astrological interpretation so well and concisely? I'd love to learn this....

Learn how to read the sky.
Keep the moon's two rhythms.
Honor the four turnings.
Enjoy the nuances of daily moon signs.
Know when to be a quitter.
Don't be frightened of void-of-course moons.
Let your moon practice be ordinary.
I enjoy doing Healing Touch on others. I've completed Healing Touch
Levels I, II, and III. Someday I would like to begin HT Level IV; I also perform Distant Healing. I am interested in learning Animal Reiki. Spending my time
with my grandchildren, my DH, long walks on the beach under a full moon, gazing at the stars, the rain in the summer (but dislike the humidity), love the
thunder and lightning, rainbows, gardening, dolphins, reading about astrology; automatic writing, counted cross stitch, tole painting, and bead work. I like to
collect Angels, crystals, dragonflies, and windchimes.
I am an Aquarius.
One thing life has taught me: If you're interested, you never have to look for new interests. They come
to you. When you are genuinely interested in one thing, it will always lead to something else. - Eleanor Roosevelt. And I love this: Life should NOT be a
journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well reserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine
in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming . . "Damn, What a ride!!!"

In this special moment in life . . .
Think freely. Practice patience. Smile often.
Savor special moments. Live God's message.
Make new friends. Rediscover old ones.
Tell those that you love that you do.
Feel deeply.
Forget trouble. Forgive an enemy.
Hope. Grow. Be crazy.
Count your blessings. Observe miracles.
Make them happen. Discard worry.
Give. Give in. Trust enough to take.
Pick some flowers. Share them.
Keep a promise. Look for rainbows.
Gaze at stars. See beauty everywhere.
Work hard. Be wise.
Try to understand.
Take time for yourself.
Laugh heartily. Spread joy.
Take a chance. Reach out. Let someone in.
Try something new. Slow down.
Be soft sometimes. Believe in yourself.
Trust others.
See a sun rise. Listen to rain.
Reminisce.
Cry when you need to. Trust life.
Have faith. Enjoy wonder.
Comfort a friend. Have good ideas.
Make mistakes. Learn from them.
Celebrate Life . . .
An ye harm none, do as ye will.
